Based on her time as poet-in-residence in the Peruvian Amazon, Isabel Galleymore’s new sequence Cyanic Pollens explores a site of pristine nature and the demands we make of it, whether aesthetic or extractive. Spider monkeys and moths are subjects of intimate study – so, too, are tourists and their rainforest guides. This is new territory for Isabel, and she navigates it with a playful, but questioning eye.

‘Few young poets examine flora and fauna with a sharper eye than Isabel Galleymore’
- Tristram Fane Saunders, The Telegraph

‘By crafting a poetry of change and transformation, Galleymore creates a vivid picture of the contradictory jungle.’
- Isabelle Thompson, Sphinx
